Hi there!
I'm a Biomedical Technologist with 7 years of experience transitioning to QA Engineering. I'm proficient in manual testing and now I'm focused on sharpening my automation skills. I'm constantly learning IT technologies to improve the quality of whatever software I'm faced with.
I believe that my lab work trained me with strong structured thinking and meticulous and systematic problem-solving skills. But by far, the skill that defined me best was paying attention to details, as in this line of work even the most minimal mistake could cost a human life.
Are you in IT? I'm certain that I can be a valuable asset to your company and bring fresh knowledge and a good attitude to your organization to create high-quality products and services that your customers will love. Let's connect!
Dovilė Espinoza Jiménez
• Performed manual tests on 3 different projects using checklists and test cases in an agile collaborative team using Scrum framework and managing issues with Jira.
• Created automation tests on 3 different projects using tools such as Cypress and Postman for testing both UI and RESTFul APIs. I used the Page Object Model (POM) technique as a good practice for UI end-to-end testings with JavaScript and I followed good practices for scripting tests with Postman with pre-scripts, steps, and body validation.
• Performed and documented microbiological and serological examinations on blood and other body fluids to detect and identify infectious diseases.
• Executed calibration and quality control using approved laboratory procedures and instrumentations.
• Analyzed results using analytical software and created reports.
• Engaged in instrument maintenance basic troubleshooting, and resolving equipment and process issues.
• Prepared agars and solutions following standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
• Collaborated with other departments to establish cohesive laboratory operations.
• Performed testing and quality control using approved laboratory procedures and instrumentation.
• Calibrated and maintained instruments to keep equipment fully operational.
• Ran test on blood samples.
• Oversaw items in inventory and reordered before supplies diminished.
• Interpreted and documented results of tests into active databases and communicated results to internal customers.
• Collaborated with team members to achieve target results.

I manually tested the functionalities of a food ordering app reporting issues to Jira in an agile team with Scrum.
During the first Sprint my team and I were focused on the first block of functionalities: Preparing documentation and checklists for menu browsing, product preview search, filtering, and ordering functionality. In the second part, we performed testing for those functionalities and reported all critical issues to Jira. I performed testing in three key browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and also Chrome on Android and iOS.
During the second Sprint, we prepared testing documentation for the second block of functionalities, such as the admin panel, login, menu, viewing, completing orders, and product management functionality. Similarly to the previous Sprint, we performed testing of those functionalities in our three key browsers. At the end of 2 Sprint, we performed regression testing of all functionalities, and prepared the final bug report to the customer.
Successfully found and documented in great detail a large number of bugs and worked proficiently with my QA team.
This project involved testing a Collaboration Platform for multidisciplinary teams. I conducted exploratory testing on features that lacked clear specifications. We worked on it for two Sprints focusing on documenting bugs in Jira and testing these functionalities:
On the second Sprint, we performed exploratory testing in new functionalities and finalized with regression tests.
Executing with efficiency both exploratory and regression testings.
In this CRM project, I conducted testing on these API endpoints using Postman:
I created Postman collections to test different scenarios with different parameters. I checked the status, body, and format responses on each endpoint concluding a final bug report in Jira.
Developed automation tests for a web page containing three registration forms.
Created automation tests for the first registration form, which consisted of basic UI elements such as input fields and submission buttons. Covered the form with positive and negative test scenarios.
Developed automation tests for the second registration form, which included complex elements like radio buttons, checkboxes, and drop-downs to cover all UI elements thoroughly.
Updated and created automation tests for the third registration form, which featured different styling and layouts. Complemented existing tests to cover both positive and negative test scenarios. Created automation tests and fixed failing tests for this form.
I ensured that all registration forms ran smoothly by covering positive and negative scenarios with automated tests. Collaborate with senior QAs in GitHub with peer reviews.
Developed automation tests for a Jira Clone application, mimicking the functionalities of the popular Jira task management system. I applied automation testing in Cypress and covered more functionalities with UI tests.
Using the Page Object Model (POM) technique I performed the following automation end-to-end tests:
I thoroughly created Cypress scripts to run end-to-end testings to test the main functionalities of a Jira Clone application applying the best practices using the POM technique.
Automated tests of functionalities for the Jira Clone app using its APIs, focusing on backend development tools. For this I used Postman for API testing.
I covered multiple scenarios with positive and negative test cases:
While testing all the functionalities I wrote detailed reports to Jira
Proficiently tested endpoints covering multiple functionalities with positive and negative test scenarios using Postman scripts.
"Dovilė is definitely the most organized and focused person I have ever worked with. Her attention on details is
super inspiring. She is also good in communication and could be great team leader. She immerses herself in the
projects completely and gives her absolute best (sometimes even more). It was an honor to work with her in the same
team. I learned a lot from her!"
